Authentic materials and reflective teachers

I have been using authentic materials since I have started working as an English teacher. A course book has never been enough, and it has been interesting to bring something new and different. Authentic material is everywhere around you – a newspaper article, a scene from a movie, a poem, a picture - anything can be used as teaching material. I am going to present some of the authentic teaching materials I have used. I am sure some of them might work for you as well. 

Teachers are meant to be critical but they are often too strict – on themselves. Our goal is to see how all the different methods we use to assess our students’ work can be applied on us as teachers. Let’s give ourselves an honest feedback and see where it takes us, CPD-wise.
