SUPPORT TO EU ACCESSION
The programme ‘Strengthening public administration in Serbia’ aims to strengthen the capacities of rule of law professionals from state and independent bodies, to help Serbia meet EU accession standards.
This programme envisages work placements in UK institutions for up to ten civil and public servants in duration of up to six weeks over March and April 2016.
This is the second call for applications. Maximum ten placements are available for candidates from both first (completed in November 2015) and second call.
The programme supports professionals who will be able to share knowledge with colleagues upon return and build on experience gained in the UK.
During the work placement, the participants will work side by side with their UK counterparts, often in a very international environment from day one. Working together in a common field strengthens links between Serbian and UK institutions and establishes new channels of communication for doing business together.
This is a continuation of UK support to Serbia for EU accession. The programme is funded by the British Embassy in Belgrade and managed by the British Council in partnership with the Serbian European Integration Office.
Please bear in mind we have extended the target group in the second call. More details about the programme, who can apply, the application procedure, the selection schedule and more about the costs covered by the programme are available in this document.
The second call for candidates was closed on Sunday 13 December. After an intensive selection process, we now have ten public and civil servants that will be part of our programme in the UK in March and April 2016:
