Refunds

We are able to issue a partial refund in exceptional circumstances only, such as being unable to take the test due to medical reasons.

If this is the case, you must provide a valid document to support your request, such as an original medical certificate that confirms illness on the date of the test, written in Latin or English. This document should be sent to examinations@britishcouncil.rs

The request and supporting document(s) must be submitted to the British Council within five days from the date of the written part of the exam. If the request is approved, you will receive a refund of 75% of the exam fee.

Fees cannot be transferred to a later exam period or from one exam level to another.

Refunds are only given if you are absent from the entire exam (all papers).

Other changes

  • Candidates can request to change the date or time of the speaking test. Contact the British Council to apply for a change of orals. The relevant fee is charged for the change of speaking date. Such changes will only be possible until the end of the current examination speaking window, on condition that the speaking test is conducted more than once within the same examination session and arrangements can be made to change the date.
  • The date and the venue (examination centre) of the written and listening parts of the examination cannot be changed.
