The New Technologies in Education conference and fair aimed to raise awareness of the significance of using new technologies in education. The event was held at Belexpocentar in Belgrade, Serbia, on 26 and 27 February 2016.
Through this event we wanted to help pre-school institutions, schools, universities and other organisations involved in education to become more innovative, modernise the learning process and exploit all the possibilities provided by new technologies. We also wanted to help entrepreneurs and companies present their products and services that have the potential to change the education process of future generations. All participants were able to meet world experts in this area and find inspiration by experimenting with new technologies and speaking with partners and colleagues from the region and the rest of the world.
These important topics were discussed at a large regional conference in Belgrade, that was followed by an exhibition programme, during which companies, publishing houses and educational institutions from both Serbia, the region and the UK presented their solutions. New areas of interest were the use of ICT in pre-school education, ICT and lifelong learning and best practice examples from these areas.
This two-day event covered the following areas:
- best practise examples of ICT use in pre-school education
- best practice examples of ICT use in primary schools
- best practice examples of ICT use in secondary schools
- best practice examples of ICT use at universities
- inclusive education and ICT support
- best practise examples of ICT in lifelong learning.
