Get to know our partners and co-organizers on journey of introducing ICT solutions to education in Western Balkans region. In parallel with our two-day conference, we also organised a fair where over 30 ICT companies and educational institutions presented the latest technological solutions in education that they developed or introduced to the market. The participants were able to visit their stands, try out interactive classroom solutions, find out how to use the internet for high quality teaching and see a micro:bit devices for coding.

BIOGRAPHY OF THE MAIN SPEAKER

Blaženka Trivunčić was born in 1976 in Pljevlja and was educated in Belgrade. She is professor of Serbian language and literature. From January 2001 to September 2015 she worked as a teacher of the Serbian language at the Primary School "Branislav Nušić" in Belgrade, and since September 2015 she has been working as a teaching assistant in the Serbian language in the Paris region.

Application for children with communication difficulties

The "Education Circle" is a project that connects students from regular schools in Republic of Serbia who are learning French as their second language and students from Serbian secondary schools in France who are learning the Serbian language. The aim of the project is to develop language competences through direct guided communication via electronic tools while presenting topics from history, culture, tradition and sports in various electronic media.

BluPoint

BluPoint provides access to trusted and curated educational material to students’ mobile devices free of all charges. Using servers within a school they deliver text, multimedia and application content using WIFI, Bluetooth and FM radio. Users can also upload and share content within their BluPoint network or more widely. Data is captured to provide a rich source of diagnostic information for educators.

Psychologist and psychotherapist specialised in cognitive behavioral therapy. Accredited for professional trainings, lecturer in the teaching centre Informatika in Belgrade. Member of a board that is checking savvy of the programmes for educators, psychologists and pedagogues license who work in student dorms.

Applying ICT in psychoeducation of students in a student dorm

Psychoeducation, supported by ICT, has an educational and a therapy character. Students who have some characteristic psychological difficulties receive internet sources where the nature of occurrence and maintenance of these psychological problems is described. Afterwards, they are told to learn from those sources and to write a short text about it. If they want, the text can be posted on a word press platform which is edited by a psychologist and by a group of boarding school educators.

BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Branko Lučić (1965) is a mathematics teacher at a high school in Crvenka. From 1988 to 2011 he has worked in the ICT area (programmer, designer, system engineer). He is the author of the multimodal educational game Lugram, which is a base for the educational project of the same name. This project is realised during the four year period of elementary school duration.

Lugram on Graph Paper Programming way

For first grade students of the elementary school “20. Oktobar” from Sivac who were working with Graph Paper Programming  was organised “Lugramiranje” (playing with Lugram algorithm) by the rules of Graph Paper Programming. This experimental class showed that students of that age can successfully create and read complex geometrical shapes who were shown in an algorithm way.

Speaking interaction with a computer game

The development of computer speaking technologies in Serbian language enabled the formation of speaking content that is very similar in quality to natural speech. By using the TTS and ASR technology for Serbian language, we can improve the interactivity of classroom dedicated software created in school. This presentation will showcase a computer game called Lugram.

Branko is a mathematics teacher in a vocational school in Crvenka. Before that he worked in ICT as a programmer, project manager and system engineer. He is the author of Lugram educational game that uses computer speaking technologies in Serbian language.
