Get to know our partners and co-organizers on journey of introducing ICT solutions to education in Western Balkans region. In parallel with our two-day conference, we also organised a fair where over 30 ICT companies and educational institutions presented the latest technological solutions in education that they developed or introduced to the market. The participants were able to visit their stands, try out interactive classroom solutions, find out how to use the internet for high quality teaching and see a micro:bit devices for coding.

At the fair Creative centre will present LEGO Education programme that plays a decisive role in igniting student engagement in learning by giving them a hands-on experience that encourages learning through physical and digital creation. They strive to provide a distinctive experience for teachers and students that combines relevant curriculum, the LEGO system of bricks, teacher training and professional development with their unique principles for teaching and hands-on learning.

Daliborka Živković is employed in preschool institution "Nata Veljković", she holds academic title of master educator and academic title of Master of Science. She is advisor associate  for Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development and external associate to Institute for the Evaluation of the Quality of Education and Upbringing. The author and co-author of several expert papers.

The use of SCRATCH in classes

This presentation represents the work of a teacher-student team in creating video games, animations and similar content used in classes and assisted by programming language, SCRATCH development environment, and graphical and sound application (gimp, inkscape, audacity). Daniel graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad, and has been working as a teacher at Agricultural School Bač since 2013. For a number of years already he has been engaged in programming and use of modern tools in teaching (Atutor, Moodle, Scratch). Boris Đurica also graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad, and has been working as a teacher at Agricultural School Bač since 2005. He uses modern ICT tools in classes (multimedia presentations, Edmondo, Moodle).

Stimulating interactivity by digital tools application

The aim of this presentation is to demonstrate how to enhance learning using free digital tools and resources. Students follow the lecture constantly doing assignments specially prepared for them using the Hot Potatoes and Kahoot tools on the Weebly website. Danijela is a lecturer for English language at the Faculty of Information Technology in Belgrade. Main areas of her interest are distant learning platforms. She published several papers on the topic of ICT integration in classrooms. Besides teaching, she is engaged in research and design of electronic teaching material. She authored the website “Regulations for English Language Teachers” and a blog on language teaching “Glotodidactical Stories”.
