Get to know our partners and co-organizers on journey of introducing ICT solutions to education in Western Balkans region. In parallel with our two-day conference, we also organised a fair where over 30 ICT companies and educational institutions presented the latest technological solutions in education that they developed or introduced to the market. The participants were able to visit their stands, try out interactive classroom solutions, find out how to use the internet for high quality teaching and see a micro:bit devices for coding.

Digital era has brought about changes in all spheres of life, and therefore in the way of learning and studying. The work with pupils and students born in the digital age has had impact on teachers and their method of teaching. Through presentation of good practice examples an overview of specific teaching tools in foreign language teaching will be displayed, that are easy-to-use and could improve teacher-student communication. Marina Milovanović graduated in 2005 from the Faculty of Philology, University in Belgrade. She completed her master studies at the Singidunum University in 2010, and in 2011 her master studies at the Faculty of Philology. She has written papers for scientific magazines, participated in conferences, and engaged in professional development in the country and abroad.

Digital and Online Learning ET2020 toolbox: outputs and policy messages

This presentation focuses on the activities implemented within the European working group on Digital and Online Learning. By using the Open Method of Collaboration, within the Strategic framework for European cooperation in education and training, the European Commission has brought together European countries and other stakeholders to learn from each other by sharing experience, evidences, analysis and policy options to shape the future of Digital and Online Learning.

Mario joined the European Commission DG EAC in March 2012 as policy officer. He is in charge of designing and implementing the HORIZON2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions and also coordinates the activities of the Digital and Online Learning Working Group.

Mark Burrows is the Head of Education at 2Simple Software and a former Head Teacher with over 15 years of classroom experience. Qualifying as a teacher in 1998, Mark spent 10 years as class teacher and ICT Coordinator in England. He’s taught across the full spectrum; from inner city schools in deprived areas to affluent rural schools, and everything in between. He also spent 5 years as a Head Teacher at two schools. Mark has been with 2Simple for almost 3 years and has been instrumental in helping develop the resources within Purple Mash so that it continues to raise standards through creativity.

Mark Martin is an outstanding educator with a proven track record of innovative and inspirational teaching. He is committed to providing greater opportunities for young people and providing access to lifelong learning. Mark is a Global Educator  and is highly skilled in delivering bespoke training. Mark has also acted as consultant to a number of projects with Microsoft, Google, Intel, JP Morgan, Barclay's Bank, Tech City UK, Appshed, Academy Chains. Mark has presented a number of short sessions at The Bett Show 2013 and 2015 on using mobile technology in teaching and learning.
