For the fifth year in a row, the conference and fair "New Technologies in Education 2018"  brought together some of the best teachers in the field of using ICT in their classrooms, making this event better year after year.

Over the past years, we had the opportunity to meet over 200 speakers from the Western Balkans, UK and other countries who shared their experiences in the use of educational technologies through lectures, panel discussions and workshops. We firmly believe that this year's program will be the highest quality so far.

Jelena Ognjanovic

Jelena Ognjanović

BIOGRAPHY

Jelena Ognjanović graduated the history of art at the Philosophy faculty, University of Belgrade, in 2012 and in 2015 she acquired her master degree on pedagogy studies at the Philosophy faculty, Novi Sad. From July 2011 she is employed by the gallery “Matica srpska” as a museum educator, a PR manager and she works on organising exhibitions, educational programmes for children and coordination of European projects.

PRESENTATION

Art and new technologies

Gallery “Matica srpska” and the company ZUMOKO have developed a mobile application with elements of augmented reality which allows visitors a more interesting and suitable interpretation of the gallery’s arts. Art, in general, offers a possibility of knowing different historical eras and spirits of past times. With this application art pieces came to life so visitors can, through fun and games, learn about art and feel it.

BIOGRAPHY

Lejla and Dalila are teachers at the Primary School "Mula Mustafa Bašeskija" in Sarajevo. Teachers are actively using modern technologies in education.

PRESENTATION

Google for Education

"Mula Mustafa Bašeskija" school has been organizing online days for a few years, when children from the home listen to the material and perform tasks using this platform. All children from the 1st to the 9th grade of primary school have their school email. The presentation will focus on the Google Classroom. A brief presentation will include a demonstration with actual data and activities.

BIOGRAPHY OF THE MAIN SPEAKER

Ljubica Ilić Vojnović is a student of doctoral studies in pedagogy at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade. In VOS Creative Pen, she is employed as a pedagogue and assistant director. She is involved in international educational programs and projects dealing with the culture of the institution and the professional development of educators and teachers. She is interested in the development of educational games based on play and creativity.

Self-evaluation of the school with ICT - new perspectives

How to start the school digitization process while encouraging the professional development of teachers and building a positive institution culture? The authors, encouraged by the use of ICT beyond the classroom and the self-evaluation of the work of the school, tried to answer this question, revealing the potentials of numerous ICT tools, as well as their own position and leadership roles.

BIOGRAPHY OF THE MAIN SPEAKER

Marijana is employed at a school for the education of students with disabilities since 2001. Magister of defectology. Participated in the creation of the local action plan for children with disabilities, worked as a leader in an Inclusive Project funded by the EU. As an advisor and external associate of the MPNT, held several lectures on how to work with students who are educated according to IOP2.

Overcoming fear with the help of an app, a student with ASD

A student with autism suffers from a fear of going to the doctor and is afraid of the announced vaccination. His father informed us of the problem that persists and is actualized by a new call. The boy verbally, visibly disturbed, provides verbal resistance, and fights the teacher with the intention of hitting him. His fear is great. We know he likes the computer. We find an app that is a simulation of vaccination.

BIOGRAPHY

Milan Njegomir, BSc Electronics Engineer, Electrotechnical Subject Group Associate, ZUOV Associate, ICT Training Coach, Certified ECDL Examiner, co-author of 8 papers in the Creative Education Knowledge Base, co-author of the work at the International Conference "New Technologies in Education 2016" Serbia at the European Forum of Innovative Teachers in Lisbon (2012).

Let IT be with you

In work we talk about how the acquaintance, communication and cooperation of teachers and students from three cities, Vršac, Belgrade and Leposavić can be the basis for the creation of a series of very unusual robots, managed remotely (through the Internet). With the use of ICT, Arduino platforms, Micro:Bit, as well as hardware and software development, this interesting project was created and the foundations for future projects were set.

Milena Jeretin

Milena Jeretin

BIOGRAPHY 

She graduated at the Faculty of Mathematics in Belgrade. She works as a teacher of mathematics and informatics at the Architectural Technical School. She participated in award winning etwinning projects and other international projects. Co-authored several professional papers with us and abroad.

The presentation will show how math can be applied through project teaching to different buildings in the city, use ICT, and develop student's creativity

Miles Berry

Miles Berry

BIOGRAPHY

Miles is principal lecturer in Computing Education at the University of Roehampton. Prior to joining Roehampton, he spent 18 years in four schools, much of the time as an ICT coordinator and most recently as a head teacher. He is a board member of Computing At School, the BCS Academy of Computing and the CSTA. He is a fellow of the BCS, RSA and HEA, and a member of the Raspberry Pi Foundation.

AI, machine learning and schools

Miles discusses some of the implications of AI and machine learning for education, considering how short term changes are likely to support teachers in their roles. He shows how pupils can learn some machine learning tools to build simple classifiers, and considers how the moral and ethical aspects of AI might be addressed in schools. He considers long term implications of AI for schooling.

 

Mirjana Mihailović

Mirjana Mihailović

BIOGRAPHY

Mirjana Mihailović (1968), teacher of accordion, coordinator in the Association "Inclusive network", which stands for education available to everyone. Has converted over 150 textbooks in music and elementary school subjects to Braille. She is the author of several projects and seminars in the field of inclusive education, Braille cloud digital library and LexPad software for students with dyslexia.

LexPad dyslexia software

Dyslexia is a disorder in the learning of reading, writing, calculating, understanding text and speech, despite normal intelligence, good vision and hearing, adequate motivation and other favorable conditions for education. The lexPad program was created as a teaching tool for modifying teaching materials in Cyrillic and Latin scripts from Word and PDF formats into customized formats.

Miroslava Ristic

Miroslava Ristić

BIOGRAPHY

Miroslava Ristić is a professor at the University of Belgrade faculty of teaching. She was a presenter, co-author and a realisator of multiple professional specialisations on the subject of acquiring digital competencies. She is an author of many scientific articles, studies, books and reviews. Her main scientific interest is in the use of ICT in education.

PRESENTATION

Mobile applications in an out-of-class environment

Mobile technologies can make an effective connection between in-class and outside of class teaching environment. If used correctly, they can raise ecological awareness of the students and it can develop a sustainable relationship with nature. The aim of this presentation is to show educational potential with free mobile application in an environment outside of the classroom for elementary school children.

Natalija Budinski

Natalija Budinski

BIOGRAPHY 

She has been working as a mathematics professor for 16 years and during that time she has constantly innovated the teaching process. She is combining different approaches and methods. For her activities she was awarded twice from the European school of Internet from Brussels. Microsoft listed her as one of the 300 most innovative teachers in the world. She published several scientific articles about education in domestic and foreign magazines.
