Work experience for civil and public servants in European integration
For the third consecutive year, in co-operation with the Serbian European Integration Office, we have successfully realised the Professional Development Programme in the UK, supported by the British Embassy Belgrade.
This years' programme enabled eight Serbian civil and public servants to spend up to six weeks working in the UK.
Over the last couple of years, 22 programme participants from 18 Serbian institutions have benefited from a unique experience of spending six or four weeks in relevant institutions in the UK. With the programme, we are targeting members of the negotiation groups who work on accession of Serbia to the European Union.
The participants shared their knowledge with their colleagues and superiors primarily focusing on best practise examples that can be applied in our administration and in the accession process.
They were working side by side with UK colleagues, often in a very international environment. Working together in the common field strengthened links between Serbian and UK institutions and established new channels of communication
