Event “National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and role of Sector Skills Councils and employers” will provide information about the role of the Sector Skills Councils and employers in the design and implementation of the NQF in the United Kingdom. Using the UK as an example of good practice, this event is designed to widen delegates’ understanding of how the NQF can be effectively integrated for educational and economic purposes.

It will look at the benefits to all stakeholders from partnership involvement in design, development and implementation.  The role of the Sectors Skills Councils within this process and the importance of informal and formal, vocational and academic learning will be a key focus.

Agenda of the event will include the following:

  •  current Serbian experience and roadmap to establishing Sector Skills Council 
  • UK Approach to skills and the role of sector skills organisations and creation of employer engagement strategies and their relationship to the NQF
  • integrating the NQF across all levels and types of learning in a sector led approach
  • panel questions
  • workshop Discussions; Applying this integrated approach to Serbia and the NQF
  • plenary.
