More than 50 speakers from Serbia, the region and the UK prepared interesting presentations about creative ways of using ICT in education.

Apart from the presentations held at the conference (halls 'Space', 'Insert' and 'Alt'), the fair exhibitors organised lectures and presentations at their stands and at the central fair stand Enter ExpoHub.

NeReLa project

Radojka is a professor at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Čačak. She talked about NeReLa project that has a wider objective of increasing the attractiveness of engineering education through innovative teaching methods as well as through the strengthening of university-secondary vocational schools collaboration. The innovation off teaching method will be carried out through networking of remote engineering laboratories established at partner HE institution.

Opportunities and barriers to digital inclusion of children with disabilities in Serbia

In this presentation Sanja talked about the necessity of using new technologies when working with children with developmental difficulties.

The use of this app enables children with developmental difficulties to learn independently in accordance with their own needs and interests. 

Sanja is a defectologist specialised in rehabilitation. In her daily work with children she uses ICT so that they could learn to use computer on their own and organise their free time.

E-LEARNING-DOSITEJ PROJECT IN REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA

Being aware of various environment specific factors that influence education transformation process, they wanted to present the challenges and the results of LANACO’s education projects, with special emphasis on Dositej project, that introduces "one on one" learning model in our classrooms based on specially designed Intel® Classmate PCs for students.

Sanja Sablić has been working in Lanaco since 2006 as a manager of a new sector called ’IT Solutions and Education’. From 2009 she worked on various projects in this area resulting in her leadership of the ‘Dositej – eLearning based on the 1:1 model’. As a system engineer she has been working as a Microsoft Certified Trainer since 2005.

'MIGRATIONS' IN WIKI-TOOLS

WORKING GROUP | NEW TECHNOLOGIES IN PRIMARY AND SECONDARY EDUCATION

Snežana is a Serbian language and literature professor. In order to modernize education, encourage students to read more, and make interpreting of Migrations interesting for students, she has developed special tasks that encouraged them to research and read, to think criticaly, to collaborate and be creative. Their works are installed on the wiki page creating a knowledge base.

STEVAN NESTOROV

Use of assistive technologies in an inclusive class

Stevan works as a defectologist in a school for children with developmental difficulties and is the vice-president of a NGO 'Help to family'. In his presentation he talked about how assistive technology raises self-confidence and creates the feeling of independence in children with developmental difficulties. This enables these children to feel success which leads to motivation. A teacher shouldn't be overwhelmed by technology and they should use it in such a way that bridges the difficulties that a child has.

SVETLANA BELIĆ MALINIĆ

Creativity in 21st Century Learning

Svetlana uses a creative concept of education which merges global trends in teaching methodology, IT and curriculum design. Having applied such an approach, she has been ranked the second best at 21st Century Teacher of the Year competition, a recognition globally awarded by Pearson.

SVETLANA MATOVIĆ

SPECIALIST EDUCATION FOR STUDENTS WITH HEARING IMPAIRMENTS

WORKING GROUP | NEW TECHNOLOGIES IN INCLUSIVE EDUCATION

Svetlana is a professor in a school for students with hearing impairments. Specialist education, in the duration of one year, for the first time, is available to hairdressers with hearing impairments. They proved that they deserve an opportunity for further education in their field. The fact that all of the students successfully use new technologies in communication, provide us with the opportunity to implement the predicted curricula and assure successful education.

TATJANA GLOGOVAC

DIGITAL TOOLS FOR LANGUAGE LEARNING AND LEARNER AUTONOMY

Working group 

Tatjana is an English language teacher. She talked about the use of digital tools in the development of learner autonomy followed by a presentation of practical applications of digital tools in English language teaching. 

VELJKO POTKONJAK

Distance Learning in Engineering Education

Veljko is a professor at the School of Electrical engineering in Belgrade. His presentation discusses Virtual Laboratories in distance education and professional training in engineering sciences, based on three criteria: realistic behaviour, realistic user interface, and realistic visual impression.
