On behalf of the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia, we are implementing a two-year project 'Media Trips to EU' which enables journalists from Serbia to participate in thematic visits to the EU member states. The programme targets news desk journalists from Serbia who report on themes and issues relevant for the country’s European integration process. The project will last until December 2018.

The aim of these journeys is to give journalists first-hand information and suggestions on proposed topics from the chosen European country and to help them in the comparisons and analysis of these topics in Serbia. So far, within this project, we have organized 37 trips to 23 EU Member States, with about 480 journalists from Serbia.

'Media Trips to EU' is expected to be beneficial to Serbia’s citizens by offering them the opportunity to read, watch and listen more diverse news content on EU experiences in the reform process and to better understand various aspects of the accession process. It also offers Serbian journalists a unique opportunity to create quality content in manner of investigative journalism by assisting them in identifying and contacting relevant people, institutions and officials from Europe.
