Traffic lights- correlation of subjects

9. FEBRUARY AT 14.45 | HALL 'INSERT'

Project tasks represent a correlation of school subjects: structures’ modelling, design, practical training, digital electronics and micro controllers, maths, traffic regulation and electrical engineering. On the model traffic light, peer educators train lower grades pupils on proper behaviour in traffic. Filip Milošević has been working for Polytechnical School for 7 years where he teaches traffic-related subjects and runs a traffic safety club. He works as a lecturer and seminar organiser for the Road Traffic Safety Agency on professional development of driving instructors. Gorica Pantelić graduated from the PMF in Kragujevac, master mathematician. She's been working in school for 36 years. She is author of the handbook “Application of maths in traffic profession for the first grade". Saša Petrović graduated from the ETF in Niš. He's been working in school for 4 years.

Filipović Academy

The Filipovic Academy specializes in providing informal education for teachers, educators and non-teaching staff that is involved in the education process. A big number of associates from different cities in Serbia, various educational profiles, makes the Academy Filipovic one of the most serious institutions in the field of non-formal education. In previous years, the seminars of the Filipovic Academy were realized in several hundred schools throughout Serbia, and attended by thousands of teachers.

Filipović Academy has an active role in teacher education. Most of their programmes are structured as seminars that empower teachers to apply ICT in their classrooms. They are equipping schools with phono lab, IWB and other modern IT equipment and are developing and implementing school websites, e-register, e-library and e-portfolio platforms for teachers and students. They won the first prize in the category of education at the Discobolos 2015 awards.
