Teacher of physics at SS "Sveti Sava" in Kladovo since 2008. From 2010 to date, organized five physics events in Kladovo, as well as the Republic Secondary School Competition in 2017. Lecturer and organizer of the workshop at three Republic seminars on teaching physics. Participant of two CERN programs for secondary school teachers, 2016. Lecturer at the BC conference, 2018.

Plato, teaching of the future

Plato is a two-year European project launched in 2016 with the aim to enable and prepare primary and secondary school teachers for new educational challenges. Plato primarily promotes actively oriented teaching, a holistic interdisciplinary approach to learning, the use of online learning tools, and meaningful collaboration among teachers of different subjects in the same school.

New Technologies and particle physics

By using the CERN website pupils can learn about the different aspects of particles. 'Minerva' is a CERN app in which pupils, like real scientists try to find the Higgs boson and its properties. This project also includes video conferencing with other schools, comparing results and discussing different values.

BIOGRAPHY

Ivana Banković has eight years of practical teaching experience, as an English language teacher. She was a trainer for several programs of professional development, presented at several international conferences and published authorial works on the topic of education. She is currently working as a young project advisor at the Tempus Foundation and is in charge of the implementation of eTwinning and Erasmus + projects for schools in Serbia.

eTwinning is a platform that allows schools and pre-school institutions across Europe to collaborate. Project teaching organized through eTwinning projects has the effect of raising the level of digital competencies of teachers and educators, improving the quality of teaching in schools and preschool institutions through the use of ICT tools in working with students and improving interpersonal competences among students.

EcoReporters application for learning English

EcoReporters is a mobile app for learning English language developed by a team of Serbian teachers that won the international Learnathon 2015 contest in Budapest. This app enables students to create their own video stories about ecology and the preservation of the environment while developing their English language skills.

Project of Fab Lab Petnica formation funded by Royal Norwegian Embassy is a joint project by Fab Initiative, Petnica Science Center and Belgrade Metropolitan University that deals with the formation of a educational fab lab to provide high school students/teachers in STEM field in Serbia with knowledge and tools to start implementing FabLab @ School concept and STEM entrepreneurship principles in practice.

The last three decades have seen a number of research projects that tried to better understand difficulties that students of physics faced and develop teaching methods that would contribute to more meaningful lectures. As a result more and more teachers are using interactive methods in order to increase the engagement of students during classes. One of these projects tested strategies that include the use of computers and digital materials in five schools in Croatia.

Ivana has been studying student preconceptions at the primary school level, but also at the position of the higher advisor for physics and technical culture at Croatian Education and Teacher Training Agency. Hrvoje is a physics and IT teacher in a primary school. Aside from teaching he also creates digital materials and computer simulations in this area.

She graduated from the Faculty of Philology at the University of Belgrade, works in the school for students in hospital and home care, she is the leader of national trainings and workshops at ICT seminars, winners of awards, participants in projects for equal participation of students in the educational process, educational site administrator and platform.

Virtual excursions and literary section 

With the arrival of new technologies possibility of having virtual excursions, in addition to real excursions, presented itself. Places that would be hard or impossible to visit are now accessible. For students in hospital and home care, this type of excursion is the only way to "travel" and socialize with peers. These excursions can be followed by reports, essays, etc. at the meetings of the literary section.

Ivica Županjac

Ivica is a teacher in 'Milun Ivanović' Primary School in Ibar. He is the author of the blog ’Cyber Teacher’ and ’Cyber Web Tools’. He is author and creator of accredited seminars through which he is trying to show how much can be gained by using ICT in the classroom. He intensively explores the use of ICT in school whish makes him think that this exquisite tool can greatly increase the quality of lecturing. He likes to experiment, draw comics and creates e-newspapers.
