Get to know our partners and co-organizers on journey of introducing ICT solutions to education in Western Balkans region. In parallel with our two-day conference, we also organised a fair where over 30 ICT companies and educational institutions presented the latest technological solutions in education that they developed or introduced to the market. The participants were able to visit their stands, try out interactive classroom solutions, find out how to use the internet for high quality teaching and see a micro:bit devices for coding.

Graduated from the Technical Faculty in Čačak. The author of textbook sets for Technical and Informatics Education for the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade in the edition of the publishing house "Klett". During the 2018, received the title of pedagogical advisor. Participated in The Digital Class (the work is located in the electronic journal of works). Coordinated the work of the team that participated in the national tournament in FLL (First LEGO Legue).

Virtual adventure

In the introductory part of the activity students enter the virtual adventure, in 3D projections. They look at different geographical locations. They are tasked to discover, with the help of a variety of teaching aids and the Internet, the location of the site and to find as much information about it as possible. The task also means that the location is recorded on the interactive map.

Nermina Usejnovski, prof. B / H / S language and literature in primary school. I like innovation in teaching, especially new technologies, in 2016. in very difficult conditions, I worked with SOLE method students, and in this school year I introduced innovation in teaching literature and showed how new technologies can be used in the teaching of literature, in this case, Google Earth in the teaching of literature.

Correlation of teaching content is special and necessary because students give the opportunity to use the knowledge from one subject to understand the teaching units from other subjects, and when the teaching of literature is concerned, then the possibilities are really wide. The correlation between literature and geography is not uncommon, but when Google Earth interacts with it, it can be truly magical.

Experiences of the school team for assistive technology

The aim of this presentation is to show the positive and negative experiences that the team for assistive technology had over the seven years of its existence so that other teams don't make the same mistakes in the future. It will show why it's important to stick to procedures during the processes of evaluation, device selection, application training and integration into living and educational environment.

I was a participant in different projects who had an aim to improve the quality of education and to introduce IT in education. I am an author and a realizator of numerous accredited seminars, tribunes, expert papers, researches and projects in the field of education.

Find, use, create, share

Playful activities of students with the use of digital applications in a museum ambient, which hides all kinds of information, have secured an active participation in the process of learning and developing digital capability. Students task was to find an information, creatively use it and pass it on. We received the feedback about acquired knowledge through the game again.

Nevenka Spalević works on the popularisation of computer literacy and algorithmic way of thinking for more than thirty years. She is a dedicated professor of programming, she was a contributor to several magazines, radio and TV series dedicated to the popularization of computers and mathematics. She is the author of the online course, book and textbook "From Toys to Computer" for the first grade of elementary school.

Algorithmic way of thinking as a new quality in the education of students

The presentation deals with the notion of algorithmic thinking and abilities that students develop when used. Their advantages are expressed in easier, faster and more efficient learning, better training in (high-tech) everyday life and opportunities for getting better paid jobs. Developing the algorithmic thinking method is continued and using appropriate learning methods for programming.

Nikky was a teacher in Paris, Switzerland, Belgium and Austria as well as at home in the UK. Her experience covers infant, primary and secondary schools, special needs settings, inset delivery, creative curriculum development and consultancy for senior management teams. Nikky’s specialisms are effective communication and language skills, maximising engagement and commitment, observational techniques and analysis, personal presentation, to audiences large and small.

We live in time when it is hard to predict trends and when one fifth of the world population has smartphones. However, we need to keep in mind that innovation is a process and that it comes from people. In education, this is even more evident. Today, innovation is enabling many opportunities and easier access to information.
