Get to know our partners and co-organizers on journey of introducing ICT solutions to education in Western Balkans region. In parallel with our two-day conference, we also organised a fair where over 30 ICT companies and educational institutions presented the latest technological solutions in education that they developed or introduced to the market. The participants were able to visit their stands, try out interactive classroom solutions, find out how to use the internet for high quality teaching and see a micro:bit devices for coding.

This speech uses latest insights from neuroscience to provide actionable recommendations to teachers for leading their schools into a new ICT era. 

Dr. Dimitriadis is an award-winning communications professional, educator and business coach. He is the author of the book 'Neuroscience for Leaders: A Brain Adaptive Leadership Approach' and he spoke at TEDx University of Strathclyde and is a certified Neuromarketer. He is currently the Development Director at the International Faculty of the University of Sheffield.

Because access to the digital environment is often from the safety of your own home many young people and adults are not aware of the dangers. Internet is not a private place. BIOGRAPHY OF THE MAIN SPEAKER

Ogerta is a Phd student at the Hellenic American University of Athens. She holds a PhD from the Faculty of the Foreign Languages in Tirana. Ogerta has been teaching for 12 years seminars of "Teaching skills" to student-teachers of Master degree program, lectures on "How to integrate new technologies in teaching". She is a National Trainers and a Regional Trainer for British Council for Core Skills modules.

Integrating pbwikis in ICT classes-a case study

The presenters run a blended learning technology course at the Faculty of the Foreign Languages. Course materials, assignments, discussions and feedback are hosted in a pbwiki platform. They are going to provide helpful tips on the integration of online platforms but not only. They are going to share their and their students' experience with wikis and their daily routines with tech devices.

Ohbot

Ohbot is a UK company which develops and markets the Ohbot robot head kit as a learning aid for seven to ten year old children. The Ohbot robot can be constructed from a set of parts or supplied ready built and includes a programming environment to encourage children to learn the programming that is required to make the robot move and speak.  A sequence of learning-through-making projects challenges children to turn the robot into a story teller, a street performance poet, teacher, actor or helper.

During this session, we had an opportunity to discuss the current skills gaps and global employability needs, to look at innovative STEM-focused programs and partnerships Microsoft is managing with government, public sector education customers globally, we took a look at the importance and value of industry skills and certification infusion for schools and highlight some key partner alliances and innovations where Microsoft is working directly and closely with governments. Before joining Microsoft Area HQ in November 2015, Olga spent over 10 years on education and citizenship programs in Ukraine and Caucasus.  In her current role, Olga works with 33 countries in Central and Eastern Europe Area to support implementation of Microsoft’s programs aiming to empower students and teachers to achieve more.

Born in 1974 in Belgrade. Graduated History of Art at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade. M.Sc. in the field of Theory of Arts and Media at the University of Arts in Belgrade. She completed her PhD at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade in 2011 with the topic: "Presentation of women in digital media in Serbia at the end of the 20th and the beginning of the 21st century: questions of contemporary feminist theories of interpretation".

Digital presentation of artistic heritage of Faculty of Fine Arts

At the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade the process of digitizing artistic heritage is being implemented and so far the work has been presented through exhibitions, sites and social networks. It was noted that video work, created from a digitized artistic heritage and broadcasted with the help of digitally created music, is a very suitable form for promoting this kind of content.

One Click Solutions has extensive experience in the field of telecommunications, particularly concerning the development of Voice and SMS services. The company will present the SMS Diary software solution, which aims to improve communication between the school and parents. The software provides parents with insight into grades, absences and all other information related to their child during their school career.
