The Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development, Mladen Šarčević, talked on Friday 29 29, 2020, with the Director of the British Council in Belgrade, Peter Brown.
Minister Šarčević informed his interlocutor about the activities, projects and investments that the line ministry implements at all levels of education, as well as the way in which it implements reforms, following world and European practice while adapting to the local context and needs.
The Director of the British Council is particularly commendable for the long-term planning of the line ministry, which is also reflected in the development of the future Education Strategy for the period until 2030, as well as the attention paid to digitalization in education.
The interlocutors agreed that the cooperation between the British Council and the Ministry is of exceptional importance, especially when it comes to joint work on the "Schools of the 21st Century" project, which continues. Thanks to the "Schools for the 21st Century" program and a donation from the United Kingdom, on January 28, 2020, microbit computers were awarded to all primary schools.
